on behalf off 125 crore common citizens of INDIA . I would like to convey my good wishes to all the individuals & leaders from different part of country attending first meeting of IAC CITY COORDINATOR’S , being held today in Delhi today , however I was less fortunate to make up to Delhi as I was unable to arrange the travelling cost at my own, any way its part of life . I am associated with the movement  from the deep of my heart & will remain until the last breath.

We all are responsible for what we have created around us in last 62 years of independence.

May be corruption /corrupt politicians /poverty /restricted mindset.

I have observed that people find passion in abusing culprits/politicians with callous words.

Pls don’t forget "loose lips sinks ships’’.

NO doubt we have many problems, domestic, social, physical, and financial, which seem to be pressing for instant solution. we have debts that must be paid, or other obligations that must be met; we are unhappily or inhumanely placed, and feel that something must be done at once. Do not get into a hurry and act from superficial impulses. You can trust God for the solution of all your personal/social riddles.

There is no hurry.

There is only God,

All is well with the world. [ under process & not completed]

Let our manner toward all men and women, great and small, and especially to our own family circle, always be the most kindly, gracious, and courteous we can picture in our imagination.

We must remember our viewpoint; we are a god in the company of gods and must conduct our self accordingly.

It is true that existing government keep the masses in poverty, but this is because the masses do not think and act in the certain way. If the masses begin to move forward in a certain way, neither governments nor industrial systems can check them; all systems must be modified to accommodate the forward movement of the masses under the leadership of ANNA just being started.

The more people who get rich on the competitive plane, the worse for others. The more who get

rich on the creative plane, the better for others.For the present, however, it is enough to know that neither the government under which we live nor the capitalistic or competitive system of industry can keep us AWAY from getting rich/prosperous. When we enter upon the creative plane of thought instead competitive plane of thought we will rise above all these things and become a citizen of another kingdom.

The law of nature works differently as we think so

We get only what we think & talk about,

No possible combination of circumstances can defeat a man or woman who is proceeding to get Definite results through his movement , along strictly scientific lines. No man or woman who obeys the law can fail to get rich/prosperous,

any more

than one can multiply two by two and fail to get four.

There are two mental attitudes a man may have at a time.

 One makes him like a football. It has resilience and reacts strongly when force is applied to it, but it originates nothing; it never acts of itself. There is no power within it. Men of this type are controlled by circumstances and environment & above all bad governance , their destinies are decided by things external to themselves. The Principle of Power within them is never really active at all. They never speak or act from within.

The problem lies with the above stated mental state .unfortunately  most of the Indian citizen are of category one

The other attitude makes man like a flowing mechanism. Power comes out from the center of him. He has within him a well of water springing up into everlasting life, he radiates force; The Principle of Power in him is in constant action. He is self-active. “He enjoys life in himself.” No greater good can come to any man or woman than to become self-active.

Fortunately  ANNA himself & his fellow companion including me & you too , who so ever associated with the current movement belongs to second category of mental attitude.

If we all are fortunate enough to understand the fact that being the part of second category we uphold some responsibility to maintain the mental attitude which is open & positive for all

There is a saying-

Responsibility without authority is meaning less  [ case of common people]

Authority without responsibility is very dangerous [ case of government]

We must come up with definite solution to the problem with right attitude & mental state

Take up the authority , use RTI  to demand information about what you feel is wrongly done.

Compare with laws , take up authority being genuine citizen , ask the concern officer to correct the procedure

Find another problem repeat the process . its very easy & achievable

But whats wrong in our process

We start blame game , blaming a corrupt politicians will not solve the problem, if we really want to solve problems of this country we must find the right mind set in every genuine Indian citizen.

Every generation has to choose his own freedom , its our time to choose new leaders .

We have choosen one to lead            ANNA  HAZARE

Rest we will discover within ourselves & throughout the country during the on going process.

Its time to ignite the light inside ourselves

Cast out pride and vanity; have no thought of trying to rule over others or of outdoing them

This is a vital point;

there is no temptation so insidious as the selfish desire to rule over others.. The struggle for power over others is the battle of the competitive world, unfortunately we all are the victim of the same

but in order to get out of these people we need not to oppose  those, instead we must rise ourselves to there position however it may take some time but it can be done in the same manner & I am hopefull we together can achieve long awaited dream of getting real freedom and we must rise above that world and its motives and aspirations and seek only for better life for everyone

 Millions of years ago God worked with very low and crude forms of life, low and crude, yet each perfect after its kind. Higher and more complex organisms, animal and vegetable, appeared through the successive ages; the earth passed through stage after stage in its unfolding, each stage perfect in itself, and to be succeeded by a higher one.

      the world and all it contains is perfect, though not completed. “All’s right with the world.” That is the great fact. There is nothing wrong with anything; there is nothing wrong with anybody. All the facts of life you must contemplate from this standpoint.

So it is of human society and government. What though there are trusts and combinations of capital and strikes and lockouts and so on. All these things are part of the forward movement; they are incidental to the evolutionary process of completing society. When it is complete there will be harmony; but it cannot be completed without them.

Without movement nothing is being DONE.

Indians against corruption

Anna Hazare renowned social activist and a true follower of Gandhian thoughts is on fast unto death since Tuesday. The respected social activist deeply pained and shocked at the extent corruption for the last decade or so finally decided enough is enough and the rampant corruption should be wiped out from the soil of India once and for all. Citizens like you and me were watching in shocking silence at the mountain of corruption the already burdened country is carrying over its shoulders. We sincerely hoped and prayed for the incarnation of a Missiha to take up cudgels against this looming menace. Now that the Missiha in the form 72 year old Anna Hazare has appeared on the scene demanding the formation of Jan Lok Pal Bill. Even before jumping into the fray he had demanded our Prime Minister to do something to erase corruption but the gentleman never cared to listen to saner counsels of Anna Hazare.



Even when he was about to start his fast unto death after all avenues of a solution failed the Prime Minister was adamant. The ‘Yes men and women' of Mr.Singh and Sonia Gandhi like Manish Tiwari, Jayanti Natarajan and such elements accused Hazare of venturing into a ‘premature' action and appealed to him to withdraw his fast.



Hazare's ire and sarcasm against the group of Ministers to chart out a course of action as this group of Ministers consisted of Sharad Pawar who according to Hazare is himself a man of corruption and Kapil Sibal the Tele-communications Minister who went to the extent of justifying that in the 2G Spectrum scam our nation actually didn't lose a single paise the truth was just the opposite, a massive loss of Rs 1,76000 lakh crore drained off the exchequer. Hazare without waiting for even a second, rejected the aforesaid group of Ministers looking into the matter.



Our Law Minister Veerappa Moily is a man with some sense of humour. He informed Hazare of the loss of the copy of draft Lok Pal Bill and requested Hazare to provide him with a new copy. A fasting Hazarika mocked at Veerappa Moily's request and sarcastically pointed out the ‘seriousness' the govt of India had displayed over the matter.



We witnessed a long procession of scams after scams, scandals after scandals like Anna Hazare and we can very well imagine the pain and agony he had undergone watching the scenes sitting on the side-lines. A true Gandhian like Hazare's heart bled for the country. His voice turned into voice of the nation. Simultaneously the ‘so-called' Gandhians in the corridors of power enjoyed power and pelf continue to enjoy, amass huge chunks of money without any qualms but preach Gandhism at the top of their voices a daily sight we all witness.



Soon after Hazare started fast at Jantar Mantar hundreds of citizens from various walks of life visit him and along with Hazare one hundred and fifty youth are on fast and to show solidarity with him citizens all over India who are fed up with a corruption-ridden govt are coming out into the streets to extent support for his noble cause.



A cross-section of our citizens for years eagerly waited for somebody to take up the mantle and that moment has reached now for another liberation struggle. As Anna Hazare compared to his movement with Jayaprakash Narayan's movement of 1975 - his ‘Total Revolution' and this comparison is apt and perfect.



Let the Jan Lok Pal bill be enacted under pressure from Anna Hazare, Medha Patkar, Aruna Roy, Aravind Kejriwal, Nikhil Dey, Sandip Pandey, Ms. Kiran Bedi IPS with the whole-hearted support of majority of Indians. The need of the hour is vigilance on the part of citizens, some political leaders to capitalize on Hazare's movement tried to encroach upon the venue at Jantar Mantar like Uma Bharti, Ajith Singh, Om Prakash Chautala and they were prevented from it by Hazare's people, a welcome step indeed. We know them. We know their history. To keep them out of such a noble venture is also the need of the hour. Otherwise this hallowed movement would be spoilt by all and sundry.

Social Media and Your Personal Injury Lawsuit: How Facebook, Twitter and My Space Can Affect Your Lawsuit

There's an old wartime line that "loose lips sinks ships." One could apply that line to personal injury lawsuits: clients who talk too much can undo a lawsuit. In today's world, postings on Facebook, Twitter, My Space and other social media can also undermine a lawsuit. A New York State Supreme Court held that a woman had to open her private Facebook and MySpace accounts to the defense in their effort to challenge her injury claims. This ruling heightens the need for clients to be very careful in what they say and post about their private lives.



Clients Need to Mind Their Own Business



I have long advised my clients not to discuss their cases with others. You never know what you might say, who might be listening and how an innocent comment might come back to hurt you. A seemingly innocent conversation with a co-worker can come back to haunt when that co-worker takes the stand against you. Defense investigators will follow clients to take photographs and often hide their identity to extract incriminating information from a client.



You say a client should have nothing to hide, but an investigator can take an innocent comment and turn it against a client in a court of law. For example, attending a family party can be portrayed as a person out on the town.



Assume Anything You Post Online Can Become Public



In recent years, I have cautioned my clients about their use of Facebook, Twitter, My Space and other social media. I recommend that clients refrain from using social media during the pendency of a lawsuit. An innocent posting, an old family photo posted on line can wind up as evidence presented by the defense in a court case. Last week, New York State Supreme Court Judge Jeffrey Spinner ruled that a woman suing over injuries suffered when her chair collapsed at work had to open her Facebook and My Space accounts to the defense. The judge wrote:



To permit a party claiming very substantial damages for loss of enjoyment of life to hide behind self-set privacy controls on a website, the primary purpose of which is to enable people to share information . . . risks depriving the opposite party of access to material that may be relevant to ensuring a fair trial.



In the case before Judge Spinner, a woman hurt her back and neck when a chair collapsed under her. She is suing for medical damages and the diminishment in her "enjoyment of life." She posted comments and photographs from her travels to family events in other state. The defense wanted access to her accounts because they will use her own words, the words of friends and family and family photos to refute her claims. According to the woman's attorney, she never claimed that she could not travel, but the defense will use every scrap of evidence of pleasure to challenge her claim.



I do not know if the woman will appeal the judge's order. I expect other judges will follow Judge Spinner's lead unless the ruling is overturned by higher courts.



Advice to Clients



Clients need to realize that the defense will go to great lengths to defeat personal injury and medical malpractice claims. The larger the case, the more the defense will spend to defeat it. Defendants, especially corporate defendants, will spend vast sums to beat back claims by individuals. What should you do?

• Make sure you select an attorney who has the experience and ability to stand up to defendants.
• Tell the truth. When you tell the truth, you do not have to worry about challenges to your credibility.
• Do not speak or write about or otherwise discuss your case with anyone other than your attorney.
• Be aware that anything you post online can be used to undermine your case. This applies to postings on Facebook, My Space, Twitter and other social media, but also comments posted in online forums. You should refrain from posting on any matters until your lawsuit is resolved.
• When in doubt, consult your attorney.

Introduction  Papers are laid on the Table in order to supply authoritative facts and information to the House with a view to enabling members to participate in the debates in a meaningful manner. Papers are laid either in compliance with specific provisions of the Constitution, the various Central statutes and the Rules of Procedure, or in pursuance of the directions issued by the Speaker from time to time or in pursuance of the recommendations of the Parliamentary Committees or the settled practices and conventions in regard thereto. Once a paper is laid on the Table, it becomes permanent record of the House and a public document, open to inspection and use of members.
Scope  Normally, it is the Ministers who on behalf of the Government lay documents on the Table of the House. A private member ie. other than Minister can, however, also lay a paper or document on the Table but only with the previous permission of the Speaker. The member is required to supply a copy of such paper or document to the Speaker in advance to enable him to decide whether permission may be given.

A paper or document sought to be laid on the Table of the House by a private member is considered for laying on the Table only if the member has quoted therefrom and there is demand for laying it on the Table.
Time for giving Notice  : Notice seeking permission of the Speaker to lay a paper or document on the Table of the House, accompanied by the document in question, should be given sufficiently in advance, preferably by 10.00 hours on the day on which the paper is sought to be laid on the Table. If, however, a member, during the course of his speech in the House, without seeking the permission of the Speaker in advance, seeks to lay a paper or document on the Table, even though duly authenticated by him, the same is not automatically treated as paper laid on the Table. The document thus handed over by the member is examined within the parameters of established guidelines on the subject either in the shape of Directions by the Speaker or precedents based on the rulings given by the Chair from time to time.Authentication of Papers sought to be laid
A member who seeks permission to lay a paper or a document on the Table is required to record thereon a certificate in one of the following forms, as the case may be:
(a) I certify from my personal knowledge that this is the original document which is authentic.
(b) I certify from my personal knowledge that this document is a true copy of the original which is authentic.
(c) I certify that the contents of this document are correct and based on the authentic information.
If the paper or document consists of more than one page, the member is required to put his signature with date on every page thereof.
Conditions for admissibility
While according his permission to treat a paper/ document as laid on the Table, the Speaker is guided by the following factors :
(i) that the member had referred to the paper or document in the House, had quoted therefrom and there was a demand for laying the same on the Table;

(ii) that matter contained in the paper or document was in some way connected with business then before the House;

(iii) that the document was important enough to be brought on records of the House;

(iv) that the member was directed by the Chair to lay the paper or document on the Table;
(v) that the document contained facts and was not propagandist in nature;
(vi) that the document contained nothing which was against the wider interest of the nation;
(vii) that by laying document on the Table, the House was not made a forum for expressing views which would lower its prestige or authority;
(viii) that the document was original and authentic;
(ix) that the document had been published by the State or any other competent authority.
Grounds on which permission to lay a paper/ document may not be granted :
(i) that the document was in the nature of private correspondences;
(ii) that the member had cited it merely to reinforce his arguments to which the Minister had already given a reply;
(iii) that there was no demand by the House for its being laid on the Table;
(iv) that the document did not corroborate the statement made by the member;
(v) that the document was a statement of figures prepared by the member or contained his views and the member could not vouch for the authenticity of its contents;
(vi) that the document was not original but merely a copy, the authenticity of which could not be verified;
(vii) that the document was easily available for reference;
(viii) that the member sought to lay the document independent of any relevant business before the House;
(ix) that the member has neither quoted from the document nor had been called upon to lay the same nor there was any question of privilege involved so as to require him to substantiate the allegations made by him with the documentary evidence.
Secret Government Documents
So far as the question of permitting a member to lay on the Table of the House a secret document which he had referred to in the course of his speech is concerned, it is the prerogative of the Speaker to refuse permission if he feels that it would be against the national interest to do so. The decision of the Speaker cannot be questioned. Till the document is permitted to be laid on the Table, any person giving publicity to its contents through any writing or publication in the Press would not be entitled to any protection against action under the law.
Treatment of papers permitted to be laid on the Table of the House
Unlike Ministers, members if permitted by the Speaker are not required formally to stand in the House and lay the paper or document on the Table of the House. Where the Speaker accords his permission to a private member to lay a paper/document on the Table of the House, an authenticated copy thereof is placed in the Parliament Library for reference by members. This fact is indicated in the Lok Sabha Debates and members are also informed through a paragraph in Lok Sabha Bulletin-Part II.
In case a member lays a document on the Table while making a statement and the Chair permits the member to lay the same there and then, the entry about the document laid is made in Bulletin-Part I and no separate para issued in Bulletin-Part II.
When the Speaker does not accord his permission to a member to lay a paper/document on the Table, the same is returned to the member concerned.

[Laying of papers or documents on the Table by a Private Member is governed by Directions 117, 118 and 118A of the Directions by the Speaker.]

household".

Perhaps. But look around and add up how many hours the

TV is running in the background, or you are flipping the remote

"just to see what's on". Compare that to how much reading you do.



Are you addicted to the "plug in drug"? Both men and women are

highly addicted to this powerful drug. Men will often criticize

women for watching TV soap operas or other mindless TV programs,

but they are not immune to this drug either. Watching TV sports is

the most mindless, time wasting non-activity ever conceived by man.

The problem is we have become a nation of "watchers" instead of a

nation of "doers". We watch people entertain, play sports and do

other activities but we rarely participate in these activities

In the life of a nation, sixty four years is a long enough time for introspection and reflection



to take stock,what are our achievements and in which direction are we headed?



Money todayhas become the sole measure of success. We live in a dog-eat-dog world.

Where we are selfishly occupied with our own selves.

We blame the British for their “divide and rule” policy.

Were we not divided even before the British came to India? could they have conquered India

if we were not divided to begin with?

The biggest traitors are our own politicians who play the caste game and weaken the nation, only

to strengthen their own position . they do not realize that if the nation is weak , no matter how

strong they are individually, they will be destroyed.

I don’t know if there can be anything like feudal democracy.

It seems that there is, therefore, I take a very tolerant view of the

misconduct of our beloved leaders , this is because we live by

the philosophy,



the king can do no wrong,

our political values have plunged so low ,

that it doesn’t take courage to do wrong,

but it takes a lot of courage to do right.



The preamble to the Constitution of India reads as follows.



“ WE, THE PEOPLE OF INDIA, having solemnly resolved to constitute India into a

SOVEREIGN - SOCIALIST – SECULAR - DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC

and to secure to all its citizens:

JUSTICE - social, economic and political;

LIBERTY of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship;

EQUALITY of status and of opportunity;

and to promote among them all

FRATERNITY assuring the dignity of the individual and the unity and integrity of the Nation;

IN OUR CONSTITUENT ASSEMBLY this twenty-sixth day of November, 1949,

do HEREBY

ADOPT, ENACT AND GIVE TO OURSELVES THIS CONSTITUTION.





All very predictable stuff, really. We have courts, plurality,

some increases in opportunity, etc. Yes, there are glaring deficiencies too,. The preamble merely

assures us that we have a specific intent, and that the Constitution shall provide the means to

attaining it.

Indeed, the first few articles in the Constitution follow quite naturally from the preamble, listing

who we are (citizenship), where we live (territory), our rights and responsibilities, etc. Later, the

Constitution outlines the nature of our government, the various public offices, the powers vested

in the office-holders, and how those powers are shared. To the casual reader, and with the

hindsight of 50+ years, the entire document appears to be a well-reasoned and detailed

framework for government and social organisation, and rightly so. I have no clash with much

of it, and like many others, I find the intent and diligence of the original framers laudable.



But where has this document brought us? Today,



whereas we have maintained the appearance of representative government, with elections galore,

and promises upon promises to eradicate poverty, remove illiteracy and in short order recreate heaven on earth, in fact India boasts the world's largest number of poor people assembled under one government, in history!

Disparities of income have turned the quest for economic utopia into a joke, religious rivalry has rendered

the secular state of harmonious fraternity notional at best, our criminals aspire to legislate and

our worthy seek nothing so much as to remove themselves from Indian public life. More than

half a century since the eloquent imagination of those early days, there is much promised in the

Constitution that is far from reality.



When JOHN KENNEDY asked WERNER VON BRAUN

what it would take to build a rocket that would carry a man to the moon and return him safely to earth ,

his answer was

simple and direct



“ THE WILL TO DO IT”



President never asked back if it was possible and the rest is in the pages of history.



Namely- why would you,

me ,

or anyone,

want [or need] to overcome such challenges of life

which we face every moment of life , give that some real thought because the answer to that

question , has the power to turn your life around in the snap of your fingers.



But we say , the Constitution is only a piece of paper, and no matter that we may inscribe upon it

glorious truths, reality must nonetheless reflect what we have actually done in pursuing them.

The ideals haven't eroded, us reason, it is that those empowered to promote them bear no

resemblance to the visionary men and women of integrity that the framers thought would be at

the helm. Instead, our leaders have been unqualified disasters, placing their self-interest regularly

ahead of any national good.



Always remember



responsibility without authority is meaningless



but



authority without responsibilty is very very dangerous



Perhaps. And yet, by some combination of luck and will, we have arrived at a time when calls to

reconsider the original document are regularly heard. It is true that many of those attempting this

revision have a political agenda, despite the appointment of several non-partisan people to the

commission now in place to suggest a revised edition. Senior justices appointed by different

governments, experts in constitutional law, and socio-economic geniuses alike find some place in

this experiment, and it is likely that not all of them will permit themselves to be swayed by their

political leanings alone.

The issue before us, really, is two-fold.

One, that the original framework

and its practice have not led to the desired outcomes,

and two, that the longer this remains true,

the more political the process of altering the framework will become.





There is, however, a middle path. Along this journey, we may continue to aspire to the goals

originally laid out, and yet reach towards a more cherished end than we have witnessed so far.

Doing so will mean that we must acknowledge that incremental attempts at change have been

easily subverted in the past, and accept that there is no gain from continuing down that road. The

change that is required must be dramatic, it must be significant and it must represent, despite

that, a compromise which a wide spectrum of political opinion will embrace. All of those

objectives are served well by the simplest of procedures, the mere addition of one sentence to the

existing Constitution, or, alternately by the removal of one line from it.

Articles 36 to 51 outline an important part of the framers' vision, which has subsequently been

discarded by the state, either from economic limitation or by deliberate political choice.

Together, these are known as the Directive Principles of State Policy. And the original sin to

which much of today's decay can be traced, as well as the inspiration for moving forward and

away from today's lamentable state, are both ironically contained in the same article (37) within

the Directive Principles, and it runs as follows.

The provisions contained in this Part [ie, Part IV, the Directive Principles] shall not be

enforceable by any court, but the principles therein laid down are nevertheless fundamental in

the governance of the country and it shall be the duty of the state to apply these principles in

making laws.

The dichotomy of that provision is telling. To understand why, one needs only to look at the

directives in these articles, which run the gamut of a good society. The state shall secure a social

order for the promotion of the welfare of the people (38), the state shall guard against

exploitation of the infirm and weak and promote the distribution of material wealth for the

common good (39), the state shall ensure that employment obtains a living wage (43), and that

children are provided free and compulsory education (45), the state shall guard the natural

environment of the territory (48A), etc. The language of the directive principles reads like a

laundry list that a civil liberties union would compose. It is remarkable, then, that these inspiring

objectives should be circumvented by the provision that the state's duty to obtain these ends shall

not be enforceable by law.

Why? How can that which is "fundamental in the governance of the country" be something that

does not merit this sensible protection? What sort of ideal is one that is immediately disavowed

in compromise? The framers, doubtless, had their reasons. And in some of the articles, these

reasons are indicated. The state has limited economic capacities (it costs a lot of money to

educate 300 million children), and certain social norms may require time to muster the needed

political and social capital (the controversial Article 44, urging the state to enact one law for all

citizens, comes to mind). But these limitations aren't in perpetuity, and the framers knew that

only too well. Universal education, for example, was considered do-able in 10 years' time. And

yet, four of ten Indians are illiterate, with over five times this period behind us.

That is unfortunate, but remediable. Although the state (at various levels) has professed inability

to engineer these directive principles, it repeatedly claims to stand by them. Most political parties

find substantive value in the Constitution, and notwithstanding their differences with parts of it,

are reluctant to call for widespread changes, partly from fear that their pet vote-banks may be

eradicated by new social policy. Also, the incremental changes we have sought in legislation

have not promoted the ends so vigorously proclaimed in the directive principles. We've stumbled

along the way, lost the direction we were exhorted to proceed along, and are for various reasons

wary of altering course substantially.

A one-line fix to the Constitution can alter this, changing the ground rules without substantially

modifying the framework of social organization as envisaged in the Constitution. It will require

no controversial commission to study the merits of new laws for months together, will involve no

charge of being particularly motivated by a specific political goal, and to the degree that all

parties place some faith in constitutional government, it will represent a continuity with the past.

Let the Directive Principles of State Policy have the force of law and be enforceable in the

courts.

If necessary, we can debate a suitable time over which this transition needs to take place, and set

definite and automatic triggers to the process of creating such change. But, fundamentally, the

provisions contained in the directive principles are sound (the Constitution already proclaims the

virtue of these principles) and they merit the full force of the law behind them. Obliging the

government to steer a specific course makes it answerable to the charge it is given. The absence

of accountability remains the single biggest obstacle to positive change in India, and in many

regards, the absence of legal provisions to back the directive principles is responsible.

Every child must go to school, this is not an option that the government may permit or merely

support, but an obligation it must fulfill. In every civilized corner of the world, for example,

children are guaranteed a secondary-level education; in India we are still debating the enactment

of the 83rd Amendment to bring this about, and in doing so admitting that we have neglected the

charge to bring this about 40+ years ago. If we could have sued your state government for not

fulfilling this obligation in the 1960s, a few million more Indians might be literate today, there

may well have been several million fewer of us, and the goal of economic opportunity to all

might be more real. Instead, without the threat of being held to account for failing to meet this

obligation, every successive government has paid lip service to this basic need, with shocks felt

everywhere in society.

And so it is with other aspects of our lives. Every working person must make a living wage.

Every citizen is entitled to equal justice under a uniform set of laws. Every person performing a

certain job is entitled to equal pay without discrimination. I didn't dream these up in a fit of

political scheming. Sixty four years ago, the framers of the Constitution found these notions to be

sufficiently dignified that they directed the state to function in pursuit of them, permitting only that

a finite and small period of time may be necessary to give them the force of law. That time has

long since passed, both by the measure they themselves instituted (ten years) and by the

yardstick of merely looking around us to witness the horror of our failure to reach the desired

ends.

Honest respect for the Constitution demands that its ideals be enshrined in the laws of the land.

Republic Day must be more than the might of our armed forces on display, and more than a

fleeting celebration of diversity in our culture. Let's make a common-sense fix to the

Constitution -- the document that marks this annual event -- which construes a real nation with

shared destinies in law, and is built with public policy that is universal. Let the Directive

Principles of State Policy be more than a set of ideals to which we profess homage. Instead, let

them have the force of law, and be enforceable in the courts.



In the life of a nation, sixty four years is a long enough time for introspection and reflection to take stock,what are our achievements and in which direction are we headed?

Do we care about our culture and nation anymore?

A concerned citizen feels helpless and lost,

He doesn’t know where to start

He wants to do something

But doesn’t know what

He needs direction and finds none

He is angry,

Yet scared.

The biggest delimma an honest citizen faces is that of survival with the current social values,he cannot become a part of the system,neither can he beat it,nor accept it .



Hope and trust is what empower us to take calculated risks which are so essential for the

development of a society . without a strong civil society, political and economic structures would

fail. Business cannot thrive when there is no trust between producers and consumers, employers

and employees. Families and communities fail because of a lack of support from one another.

Neighborhoods fail because of the lack of fellow –feeling. Civil societies rest on moral

relationships and mutual respect. Our people have been deprived of their basic constitutional and

fundamental rights. They feel helpless when faced with inadequate judicial recourse. Have the

common mans dreams turned into nightmares?



Is this india’s tryst with destiny that was proclaimed with much fanfare, sixty four years ago?



A state, where a citizen is scared of his own government officials,the police and the judiciary, is known as a TERRORIST STATE

Such state turn their citizens into subjects and torment them

Is this not breach of trust



But the bigger question for all of us for last 64 yrs

If we wish to be free, we must fight

Shall we gather strenght by irresolution and inaction?

Is life so dear

Or peace so sweet

As to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery?

Forbid it almighty GOD!

I know not what course others may take ,but as as for as me,

Either give liberty to enjoy my constitutional rights or throw me away out of the country.

As a matter of fact this fraudulant social values / system / corruption has ruined me & entire nation

As we never opposed to this legacy.



Almost 80-90% of the wealth of the nation is in the control of say 5-10% of the population. The majority of the population hardly has access to any wealth and live in abject poverty.

One of the biggest factors is 'Corruption.' It is the cancer eating into the vitals of the society. It has permeated into all facets of life, affecting the poor and voiceless. Today, the common man with no money or muscle power, cannot think of getting any thing done in the developing world, without having to pay bribe.



Global institutions such as World Bank, IMF, and UN must enjoy legitimacy from their member countries and the international community.

They must be responsive, with the interests of all members, especially the smaller and poorer, being taken into account. The governance of these institutions must be flexible, must respond to new challenges, national priorities and specific circumstances.

A scathing report from the Independent Evaluation Office (IEO) of IMF highlights the lack of transparency and accountability in IMF. The IEO measured governance along four dimensions – effectiveness, efficiency, accountability and voice – and against three standards – the

Fund's own governing documents, other international organisations, and private & public-sector corporations. The report finds accountability and voice are the weakest features of the Fund's governance and these weaknesses entail risks to the Fund's legitimacy, which in turn has a bearing on its effectiveness.



If this is the situation with global institutions, we can well imagine what would be the situation with national and regional institutions.

No wonder they abound in corruption of all sorts and get away with it. Then, how do we get over this corruption mania? One sure way would be

to plug all the leakages in the system. This cannot be done without active support of the governments and its citizens.

An initiative started by eminent personalties , headed by old veteran leader Anna Hazare may become instrumental if we common people of india support them to fight back with corruption.
